From a concerned friend… It is possible that for the sake of simplicity and the need to get on with our lives, many literally *only look for sugar* and expect it to be labelled as "sugar" in the foods they have come to like. In today's world of ultra processed foods (UPF) and through _smart_ side-stepping of the laws, many UPFs replace sugar with names that confuse many. Anyone taking their health seriously will need to be educated on such strategies designed to mislead, as explained in this clip: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1BTnReJtMG/ Ultimately, it is important to know what the food breaks down into when digested. That's why bread, rice, potatoes etc often gets lumped together; they all break down into glucose. (Proteins from meats into amino acids and fats into fats.) Even fruits, despite being _natural_ are also a source of glucose (& fructose). Further, given how many have been bred to be bigger and sweeter, today's fruits are essentially big sugar bombs.
