We used to only have certain fruits only seasonally. That's changed. Today, modernization has made them available all year round. And that was okay because we were led to believe that fruits were healthy; in fact many believe that fruits are part of a a balanced meal. Sadly, that was before we really understood the impact of fruits, particularly fructose, have on brain chemistry; they are addictive. Today even if we understood this potential problem, many no longer have the desire and even the will power to given them up. Instead, despite the proven science, all manner of justifications will arise to maintain the status quo.
